A Look At The 2011 Cadliacc CTS-V Wagon

By Mike Johnson

The old V8 station wagon was forever a staple among North American families not so long ago. A popular choice for many families, and much enjoyed by all who traveled using them. But unfortunately their mountainous size and ponderous slowness eventually led to their becoming obsolete, replaced sadly by minivans and sport utility vehicles.

At least until the arrival of the new Cadillac CTS-V wagon, the newest vehicle from Cadillac and a revolution in what it means to own a station wagon. This vehicle, a modified version of the Coupe and Sedan, continue the elegant tradition of the family utility vehicle, delivering the luxury and spaciousness of a station wagon alongside the power, elegance and performance of a Cadillac.

This is just one of many new models coming from Cadillac, although the station wagon is by far the friendliest to those who have families, all are outfitted with large engines, and superior performance specs.

There are so many options that accompany this new station wagon, including a host of options for the interior and many different station-wagon specific functions, the vehicle still sacrifices none of its high class speed and performance. In fact, while it does not outperform its Coupe or Sedan counterparts, it nearly matches them in almost every category, a testament to the vehicle's unwillingness to give up any form for function.

This vehicle is a perfect for a man who is happily identified as being a family man, but isn't interested in giving up the enjoyment and rush of driving a world-class vehicle. It's for those who require the utility of a minivan but don't want to give up the driving experience that comes with a smaller vehicle. In short, it's for the man who is happy to bring his family wherever he goes, but still wants to get there in style.
